After 50 hours or so, I'm done For me, this is a huge step forward since I've never quite pay so much attention to minor details as this. Like Picasso once said, "Small details in drawings are like underwear. You never notice them until they're missing". (Haha, jk jk. I said that. Picasso was too busy doing abstract "art" to have bothered with details )

More about this drawing. I actually used 2 references for this (Face: [link] , Hair: [link] ) I really like her expression in the 1st but the hair makes her look old and too serious. So i used a reference with a more casual hairstyle. IMO, she looks like a cross between Isla Fisher and Emmanuelle Chriqui (that girl in You Dont Mess with the Zohan).

Except for the blouse and certain part of the hair, I tried to include as much detail as I possibly could (as allowed by the amount of free time). I've built a love-hate relationship with this process. It's fun to work on the minor details and see how they totally transform your drawing, but it's also mind boggling tedious

A huge thank goes to for lending me his DSLR, without which, this drawing would turn out to be a blurry mess
