I've been doing alot of spidey sketches and decided to post my least favorites. Here is one. I've been trying to find my own spidey. I dont know whether to draw him skinny, muscular like Mike Deodato. Whether to shade just the blue areas on the costume or both blue and red. How big the white in his eyes should be, Should I convey expression using his eyes like Ramos does. Should I give him the traditional rounded head or put an actual skull under his mask. Long skinny hands and fingers with long skinny feet. I dont know yet but here is a test run!Related content

Edit: the eyes in this version are one of the pest points... love this style of eyes.

Cool. Looks like the right built for Spidey. Expressive eyes can look cool but it depends on what degree of realism you want. Big eyes are cool but I'm leaning more towards small personally. Though I think big would probably work best for your style.

well im a fan od skinny spideys.....and i do love when spideys emotions and expressions are converyed through his eyes....especially how ramos does it....very cool man

Very very nice. I like this one. I kinda grew up on Mcfarlanes spiderman, but this is nice work. I like it!

Oh hell yes! Finaly some one who remembers his work other than spawn. Yeah dude I have all his original issues. He was so radical for his time. Did you know that he was told by most of the big time editors at the time, that he would never make it in the comic bussiness?

In general I like a lot the pose man!!
But yeah, the head is too round, and I see something wrong in the eyes.
Anyway, it's only an sketch, so that things can be fixed when clean.

i like the pose and the sketchy lineart but as for the style mmm.. i find him looking like the traditional type which look abit like the original ones. If his white eyes could go fiercer ,i bet it will just look real great.
