Thanks John! Got to appreciate a Canon when the shot comes out the way the eye sees it, even though I usually set the white balance to cloudy for sunrises, I left this on auto and it came out true to color tone and saturation.

And, honestly, the button which activates the delay timer is right where my nose hits... so many missed shots

I like this shot better than the other one, because you can see more of the transition between the colours.
I like the clouds in the sky and the reflection underneath. The silhouettes add additional depth to this piece too.

We had a brilliant sky this morning too..lots of deep pinks and blues...but I was stuck at work with a rotten view don't it figure. Love the rich color and the dark landscape. Lovely shot.

We have lots of cops in our neck of the woods (the city calls it "sheriff subdivision") and one of these mornings they are going to figure out that the red vehicle going by is not a fast little fire truck but a photographer on his way to a sunrise! Meep! Meep!
