Decided to give all the long-lasting difficult projects a little rest and go back to what I know I can do: making books! It's doing wonders for my weekend state of mind.
These books are made with a variation on the Long Stitch sewing method. The covers and closures are made of cinnamon bark and the spines have porcupine quills in them. Both materials are from Indonesia, from a non-profit/helping-kids-out kind of place called "Oom Piet" (Uncle Pete) . The pages are blank 120 grams cream biotop.

Haha, no actually, they don't really smell like anything. I think this is the outer bark of the cinnamon tree. The spice comes from the inner bark, Wikipedia tells me.
