Death to the taskbar! My taskbar is now fully hidden. The top bar can do everything essential to a taskbar besides open the tray (still working on that, the app I have for it isn't cooperating well).Visual Style: Placebo
Rainmeter: Top and Bottom are both Rainmeter, by me. Releasing them in the near future.

Sorry, this was an old computer. I believe the ribbon was part of the Rainmeter anyways.

The difference might seem subtle but it's definitely there in some way, yours looks better. I have a font pack of like over 150 Helvetica fonts lol but too tedious to try all of them.

I don't really see a difference. The only thing I could see maybe making it look a bit better is a bigger font size.

yeah i think i see the only difference now, the bold on mine is not as "heavy" as yours. no idea how to change that though.

your top bar looks awesome but if it's rainmeter don't you encounter the inevitable problem of not being able to see your open tasks if you have any other program open (like an internet browser)? because the windows task bar can hide and show itself, i've yet to see a rainmeter bar that can emulate the same function. i've tried to put together a bar similar to yours but that problem always prevents me from getting rid of the task bar. i have to minimize everything so that i can view the desktop to see my open tasks and what not. btw what exactly do the "finder" "file" "edit" etc things do, i mean they obviously cannot do the same as what a mac does!
oh yeah and do you think you could share the font, font effects, etc to get that look on your text in the bar? or will that be available once you release this. thanks

The dropbown menu that is visible in the second shot is list of open tasks. Called Tasklist.exe

But when you open up a program that covers your entire desktop, you can't quickly go to your tasks right? You have to minimize the program so that the rainmeter bar is visible otherwise you can't do anything.

I have to minimize to get to the taskbar anyways. You can't completely mimic the taskbar in Rainmeter. It just won't work. This is the best you can get. You have to give and take.
