oh... my.... god.... this is AMAZING! It makes me want to go kick my crumby hardly photomanipulations in the trash, which is where they belong anyway, but really! This truly is a great piece.

It looks so intricate - how long did it take you? It's good to see familiar stock (I'm a big fan of lockstock's work) used differently. I especially love the foilage brushing around the bottom of the dress and the way it goes on to make a natural frame

I lose all track of time when I'm making one. I did two that day. It took several hours.
The foliage on the bottom was a last minute thing. It was already fringing over some on the left so I went ahead and framed the bottom with it. I started to do the top but I really liked the pink and blue colors of the stone up there and I couldn't bear to cover it up.
This is the first one where I've really used some color. I've learned that in the last week. Thanks to YOU GUYS!

maybe you should think about making some notes for a tutorial on using brushes effectively - there are some absolute beauties out there but it's just learning how not to over do them.

You really over rate me. I have never even touched photoshop until 3 months ago. I've never studied art and I really don't know what I'm doing. I've read a few tutorials when I get frustrated trying to learn it myself. I just play around until I get something I like. You guys are the best. I'm in awe of the art I've seen here. I could go on and on....
Maybe when I gain more self confidence and feel like I know what I'm doing then I would love to write one.
I'll have to write you a note and explain more. I'm truly flattered.
