I've been meaning to do this one for about two years now. Being my favorite celebrity of all time, it's only natural I do a tribute to the Great Weird Al Yankovic. The master of parodies and polka has created so many hilarious and awesome songs over his huge career. I can't even list all my favorites - Happy Birthday, This is the Life, The Check's in the Mail, Dare to be Stupid, Everything You Know is Wrong, Like a Surgeon, This Song's Just Six Words Long, You Make Me, Dog Eat Dog, Fun Zone, Generic Blues...GAH! The list goes on and on. I've been a huge fan of all things Al since I was in the first grade. See if you can get all the song references in this picture.I did Al in his retro appearance. That's the Al I was introduced to. I actually forget some times that he doesn't look like this any more, and hasn't since the mid 90s. Seen him twice in concert - always puts on the best show. And while Weird Al is best at making us laugh, every now and then you can learn something from him. Like, well, Dare To Be Stupid. Let's all stop being so serious all the time, be daring and just act like an idiot and have fun.

My sister is a HUGE fan of Weird Al (she would IMMEDIATELY go out and buy tickets in advance for his show the SECOND that she learns when she's playing in our home town), so I can imagine that she'd get a kick out of this one, which is most impressive.

My sister has seen him every time he has gone on tour....heck, I think she still has some VHS tapes of when he was guest VJ on MTV from 1985, the year that our family bought its very first VCR.

I love this pic although Mr. Frump looks creepier in this one than he does on the original album. Mr. Frump in the iron lung always did creep me out when I first heard it.Β It still does although now I can tolerate those creepy breathing noises.Β Otherwise awesome job on Al.Β I've listened to him since I was 3 years old.
