I want you to know that you inspired me to make this [link]
It's not as astounding as yours; I don't own to many colour pencils, however it fas fun and I'm planning to do it more often.
Cheers.

Briscott In reply to miyuki-no-sekai [2010-11-11 20:12:20 +0000 UTC]

Hi ya , I use black . My Fav black is Pitt oil base extra soft made by Faber Castell. you should be able the get black by mixing all the primary colours together. x

I'd like to see what you could do mixing pencils with markers on grated paper.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Briscott In reply to tornwing [2010-11-07 12:39:54 +0000 UTC]

Could you explain grated paper , I've not seen that and what kind of markers. I'll try anything new.

tornwing In reply to Briscott [2010-11-07 12:49:51 +0000 UTC]

Just textured paper, but with a grainier feel moreso than a bumpy one. And standard PRISMACOLOR markers, though like all things prisma, they run pretty expensive.

Briscott In reply to tornwing [2010-11-07 12:57:46 +0000 UTC]

Just now I use Faber castell polychromos. they have a waxy texture. For the black I use Faber castell Pitt oil base extra soft pencil and cheat a little bit I put a little turps on a brush to smooth it out , for the black . Thank you for your comments , Always learning.

And thank you, I'll have to try your method, my works with colored pencil have been somewhat one dimensional as far as style and texture goes.
