Dammit comrade, embrace the cuteness. Though, grooming would be indeed beneficial.

What does this kids mother think of the collection of lupunnies and bunneries? Is it going to turn out part of the reason he a bully is because his mother left them over his father obession with lupunnies?

The Buneary were one of the things that drew the parents together. Nathan's father liked to collect them, and Nathan's mother found them adorable and precious, and she still does, and has no problem helping her husband take care of them.
The mother also runs a grooming parlor and uses a lot of the extra Buneary and Lopunny wool that gets collected as material for some fabrics.
As for Nathan? His status as bully was less to do with troubling issues at home, and more to do with the fact that he was always kinda spoiled and got a lot of the stuff he wanted. He simply had a massive ego and inflated sense of self.

From the Wiki: Buneary is the only Pokémon to learn the move Frustration by leveling up.

Well at least bunnery is the type that evolves from affection to a trainer. So it probally wouldn't happen for a while.

Huh I did not know hybrids could communicate with regular pokemon. Was this established earlier?

I haven't shown it before, but the ability for Pokemorphs to communicate with regular Pokemon was something that was a planned thing. Just never got around to having it happen in an image. In fact, the original goal of Prof. Sebastian was to create a way to allow humans and Pokemon to communicate. Things just kinda went crazy and led to the Pokemorph Catalyst instead, which still possesses the intended goal mixed in along with some... extra side-effects.

I think this is the first time one of your Pokemorphs has actually interacted with a Pokemon. He should totally let them groom him, he'd look fantastic. I can just imagine the look on his dad's face if they did that
