im curious how tall is ur beserk fury? have any trouble going through doors?(height or witch wise) look awesome, i eventually plan to make a zoid cosplay. check master247, he made a liger zero jagar cosplay and it looks like it came right out of the anime and i know the boosters even lit up. what materials did u use for the silver armor. just curious?

Height wise, it's 8-9 feet. width, about 8 feet (from widest point on the drill to opposite widest point). It only just BARELY fit through double doors at anime boston at the hynes convention center. Normal doors required it to be hand-carried and assembled on site from 5 major parts. The "silver" armor is actually just white, unpainted elmers foam core poster board. Basic variety to avoid the extra cost of the ghost line type.
I've seen the jager you mean. Yeah, it is pretty impressive. This build was started right around my 21st birthday though, so I only really had access to hand tools and basic power tools. If I were to re-visit the fury to give it loves and what-not, I'd probably just start from scratch and scale down slightly.

There's a trio of telescoping poles the I found at the home depot screwed directly to the trashbin base-body. One is mounted right behind the plate on the fury's chest, between the arms, and the other two are set up to be between the thighs, and the torso. It requires a second person to act as a "spotter and maintenance" position, but that it almost a given with any large scaled project. The poles I used have the button lock as opposed to a twist lock, and that was key in making the posts worth while. The three posts had to bear the entire weight while I get inside, so I couldn't have them slipping from the twist pole's lack of grip. These ones also have a nice double extension feature to them. As in, it extends from a single point in two directions, so you get twice the length for the compressed size.
Beyond the inner workings of that, it's a high-end aluminum hiking backpack mounted internally at the center of balance held in place by a couple crass-bars I put in made from simple PVC piping, reinforced with an internal dowel. To get the head working the way I have it to be able to turn, I mounted a pair of strings at the top of the back of the head on each side. The fury's head naturally wants to look down, so relaxed makes it look down. Pulling on string makes the fury look one way, pulling the other does the opposite, and pulling both pulls the head back, to look up. A third string operates the lower jaw, which is kept shut by rubberbands. Pulling the top strings, and the jaw strings opens the jaws pretty darned wide xD
The tail is easy enough. It's a series of hinges made from insulation boards being layered and offset into one another, with a post going through the intersections to create a hinge. The arms are just limp, they swing forward and back with the fury, and that's enough articulation for my taste, especially when the entire rig was 130 pounds before fury's recent diet to bring it down to 100.

If it's on properly, it's not too difficult, but the thing is, the shoes attached to the feet never wanted to go on properly >.< So walking around just kinda got painful. I'm gonna try to revamp it a little bit and make it easier to get into completely. There's also some pieces that need complete re-scaling and rebuilding, but that can wait for another day.

Great shot! My only suggestion is maybe wear some black pants when in Fury, helps you blend in x3
But great photo! I shall submit it to the group~

I went with tan pants in hopes of my legs blending with the environment rather than the fury.
