That is so cool that you can use birch panel like that. Do you have to seal it afterwards (to make sure the paint doesn't peel or warp the wood)? You have done a beautiful job. How long did it take you? Eventually, I'd love to get back into acrylic paints. What brand do you prefer? How is etsy working for you? I was looking into doing something similar one day. I do seal the wood and paint twice, and have never had a problem out of it. My technique is semi-secret, but PM me if you want more details. I use golden fluid acrylics for all my work, they're very archival and have a really strong pigment load, well worth the cost! I didn't keep exact tabs on how long this piece took me, but I was chipping at it off and on for about a week. And Etsy is great if you can get traffic up, it has its ups and downs but in the end has more than paid for its very reasonable fees.
