Hmm...In contrast to the other piece, it seems like the person in this piece kind of takes away from it. I see why he's there, though, as you're trying to convey loneliness, but it seems like it takes away more than adds to the piece.

Grey Wednesday...Blue Melancholy. Grey Melancholy on Blue Wednesday... just fiddling with words for no real reason. anyway, I think the picture is too blue in this sky. I am hopelessly optimistic, so I can find so much happy in that sky. hahaha. soo...yeah. it's probably just 'cuz I'm weird like that. what if you did partial colouring and did the sky in b&w? hmmmmmm...*ponders*

This is beautiful. The overall blue tone to it really gives it that melancholy feel. I like the addition of the person as well.. that makes it relate on more of a personal level. I love the cloudy sky. great capture.

lonely in the blueness
but there is hope in such wide expansive places. at least in my mind
i would love to be somewhere like this on a dreary wednesday morning. waves crashing, wind rushing past, totally and utterly alone. the salt air, and coldness of the damp wind - thoughts free to fly around, without another person to talk to, or stop them.
where is this? i want to go here. or actually anywhere with an ocean...
