kamakura, japanthis temple in kamakura japan is close to the quite famous Daibutsu buddha statue. these are guardian statuettes. guardians of lost children and aborted babies. sometimes women who had lost their children or had abortions dress up these statuettes to care for their children in the next life.

And we'd all love a wider lens like a 50/1.0... that'd be dreamy

Absolutly beautiful, i reallu love the effect of only have 3 maybe 4 statues in focus and everything else blur'd. You are so lucky to have so muich beauty to take photo's of I'am really running out of inspiration and have taken a photo of anything nice in this area(which mind you isnt much) Great work. i love this. +fav
