I never try to 'look' at things in a different way against my normal way of seeing thing ... so it's just natural for me ... I don't think is a 'merit' ... is just a different way to look things... probably common things that other ppl see will be unnoticed to me

wonderful shot, the composition don't let you focus immediately over the sunflower, 'cos the window is too big compared to the flower but the colour selection capture quite soon the attention. the sunflower seems to be rather shy looking at the world outside or better quite sad due to its short life.
i think that your test about colour selection is perfectly well done

wow i like the composition. the sunflower really stands out. It's extremely vivid and aesthetic. how do you do the color thing? I'd love to be able to play with the color of pictures and focus on one part/color or another. I see people doing it all the time but I have no idea how it's done.

well i'm just started experimenting selective colouring ... it's not so difficult to do ... you have to use an edit software like PaintShop Pro or PhotoShop or Gimp
You select the object you want to isolate with the lazo thing, then you reverse your selection so you select all but the object, and then desaturate
