Crystal is Pixel and Auros' mother. Their father Blaze was killed by Gaul. Blaze is the one who took Gaul's eye.
Blaze and Crystal's closest friends Frost and Winter, entrusted Crystal with their egg. They named their daughter Cyra. When they left to fight, they told Crystal to go into hiding and raise hers sons and their daughter. So she did.
But now, after many years the apes had found them...
They captured Auros and took him away. Cyra had grown close Auros, Pixel could tell that she had a crush on his brother.
So, without hesitation Cyra charged after the apes.
When Pixel returned, his mother was on the ground, bleeding badly.
She had a gash in her stomach, and she was dying.

Crystal: Pixel, come here...
*he walks over with tears in his eyes and starts to weep at his mother's side*
Pixel: I failed! Auros has been captured and I couldn't do anything! Then Cyra ran after them! I can't believe I just stood there and let her go!
Crystal: Hush... You did not fail... you tried your best, and that is all a mother can ask of her son...
*there was a pause as her breathing became more shallow*
I love you, Pixel... please, remember what I taught you, be kind to others and follow your heart, it will never fail you.
Pixel: Mother! I am making a promise to you right now!
I will find my brother, and Cyra! I will search the world if I have to.
*Crystal smiled*
