Description Oil on board, 25*25 in

I am never satisfied with this piece. But I need to stop at some point.
Some people thought the rose was too cliche, which I agree, but I there was a reason I painted it and it is probably worth keeping. 
There is always a trade off between what I wanted to put on the painting and its overall effect. 

Oh dear I am so sick of my face now.

I agree you didn't need the rose because there doesn't need to be two beautiful flowers. Terrific light effect and just the right amount of splotchy to be haunting. Great work.

saw this on dA's FB page, and wow it's beautifully done and I can only hope one day you see how wonderful your work is,         please do not give up,        sometimes i think people are born to do things, don't waste your gift, like Stephen King would say
