Great! I think the 'strawberry' is just back from the manicure...

I don't truly believe we can call this "fashion".
However, Japan is a wonderful place to whoever wants to wear the style he likes : no judgment, unlike our stupid european countries !

In Tokyo, this is pretty fashionable. This is a Japanese hipster.

Why can't you wear what you want? I'm from Europe

Just wear that kind of clothes and count the number of people looking at you just because you look different.
It doesn't mean only judging, but just the fact that because it's not what we often see, people notice and keep starring at you.
Way different in Japan (where I lived for one year).

Well, maybe that's different in some countries (maybe in yours, in Holland), as I haven't visited them all. But just try it in Western Europe (France, Italy for example)... As an example, just try to wear short skirts and you'll see how you'll be called. A pity...

And I don't mean to criticize our countries, that's just a fact and a fair comparison.

In Holland, you won't be looked at.

When I lived in Japan, and it was not a location many foreigners lived, I definitely drew attention (college aged blonde girl) no matter what I did. What stood out more was this: in general, when my body language was Japanese I felt positive energy from everyone, when it was American, I felt friction/negative energy.

I guess I'm saying, even with my odd cloths and obvious non-Japanese looks, my body language was way more important to the culture. That didn't make me an insider, but a great deal more accepted in their society.

BTW: I like this picture because these well styled guys are checking out the one guy's hands/nails. It's comical, but human all the same. That said, I sort=of like their self assurance in their style.. maybe it's their obvious comfort in their body language that makes me accept them. ^_-.

Or maybe he's showing how his recent frappuccino (his friend is holding one too) has given him the jitters...lol
