I wanted 20 NG altogether, and had more oc ideas so here they are! (Patisserie was inspired from a stupid croissant meme over on instagram tbh XD I love him tho)
Roseate – Sweepy x Sloppy
Roseate was an adventurous child right from the start, forever getting herself into mischief. Despite Sweepy and Sloppy’s attempts to keep her safe, she’d always manage to find some way of getting herself into trouble. One day, the trouble went too far. She was a rather young Smurfling at the time, and unbeknownst to her parents, Roseate managed to follow Sweepy up onto the roof of a Smurf hut, and with nobody knowing, happened to fall down the chimney. The result left her paralyzed from the knees down in both legs, and Roseate was confined to her wheelchair. Luckily, in the spirit of her name, she took it in her stride. Since she was too young to even remember the incident, Roseate has no regrets for the loss of her walking ability, and finds zooming about the village to be rather fun, especially since she can wheel faster than smurflings can run, so she enjoys racing them. Roseate is incredibly fond of Smurflings, and whilst the younger ones were a little wary of her at first, they soon came to love her back, and enjoy listening to her read stories and even make up her own. Roseate is very close with Popular, who also helped overcome bullying that Roseate experienced in her early years, and the two are openly dating.
Theatrical – Actor x Weepy
Theatrical is the only Smurf in the village that could outdo Aloof for dramatic demeanor – and often does. The two have a friendly rivalry (/romantictension) when it comes to trying to prove themselves the best drama queen. Theatrical will often make everyday chores way over the top, and likes to randomly quote Smurfspeare lines at every opportunity, such as holding his dinner above his head and proclaiming “A pie! A pie! My kingdom for a pie!” which tends to make the other’s groan. He also attempts to get out of physical labor when possible, usually through some big ‘I dropped this stick on my foot’ performance. His favourite thing to do is use stage directions to announce his moves, such as exclaiming “Exit stage right” when he leaves a room. Despite these annoying habits, he is well liked by the other Smurfs, and is a very good advisor.
Twitchy – Panicky x Scaredy
Twitchy has a nervous energy that manifests itself in a constant state of the jitters, and is forever shaking or – more often – twitching for no apparent reason. Some Smurfs tend to find this annoying, but the more patient ones can usually calm her down enough to be steady, even if just for a little bit. Unfortunately her twitching has made her the target of bullying in the past, usually from Luddite, but she has a large group of supporters ready to defend her at a moment’s notice, which she is very grateful for. Hefty once tried to get her to work on her confidence through exercise, but Twitchy found she simply wasn’t any good at any of the sports. She does, however, have a secret love for both reading and critter spotting in the forest, and it’s one of the few things that calms her down.
Vitriolic – Marco x Tuffy
Marco had always considered himself a lone Smurf, so he was quite surprised when a little bundle appeared on his and Tuffy’s doorstep one night, and it took him quite a long time to be comfortable with the idea of fatherhood. Vitriolic grew into a sassy, hot headed Smurfling that loved the taste of adventure every bit as much as him, so he doesn’t think he’s done too badly. Like Tuffy, Vitriolic is usually down for a fight, only she has a better chance of winning. Her skills come through in verbal fights most of all because her attitude is rather snarky and sarcastic, although she tends to speak before she thinks which can occasionally come off as meaner than she intends to. Despite her lack of social filter, she’s a fiercely protective friend with a strong moral compass – and her silver tongue can come in useful when it’s not aimed at you. Her opinions are never swayed by the masses, and she likes to stick to what she believes is right but rarely admits when she’s wrong. She has a flirtatious nature with Rover, and is therefore the rival of Precocious.
Brazen – Pushover x Weakling
Brazen has been filled to the absolute brim with confidence – there is nothing this Smurf believes he is not capable of. Unfortunately, there are many things he is not capable of; he just refuses to admit it. Sometimes, his big headedness can prove to be a valuable attribute as he will offer himself first to danger, meaning he is never afraid to face a challenge, and will always make sure that no Smurf is left behind. Some say the only reason he hasn’t won a Darwin award yet is his more level headed best friend, Patisserie Smurf. The two are like chalk and cheese, and yet they never fail to have each other’s back. Which is just as well, because Brazen isn’t the brightest of bulbs. He fancies himself somewhat as a dashing hero, and has a huge – but secret – crush on Twitchy, who he vows to protect.
Luddite – Passive-Aggressive x Clueless
On the surface, Luddite appears to be a typical bully – often teasing Twitchy for her twitches, or Theatrical for his dramatization, or Crescendo’s fashion sense etc. What’s lesser known about him is that Luddite suffers from a genetic disorder which affects his procedural memory. Although he can easily remember names, faces and events, he finds it difficult to retain information on processes or instructions, which makes him angry and confused with technology or new ways of working, which is how he got his name, and also why he seems to be filled with such bitter malice. The only Smurf he’s ever told he did so quite by accident. After teasing Patisserie about his bakes, Papa Smurf demanded the two work together for an afternoon, which Luddite resented fiercely. He hated it more so when his procedural memory problems kicked in and he had to ask over and over what the technique for making pain au chocolat was. After Patisserie started to get annoyed with the constant asking (thinking he was doing it on purpose to wind him up) Luddite snapped and explained his memory problem and that he hated himself for being this way. All was quiet for a few moments, and then Patisserie took a page from his notebook and wrote down the instructions so Luddite didn’t have to commit them to memory, thus saving him embarrassment. Not a word was exchanged for the rest of that afternoon, but Luddite has never bullied him since.
Patisserie – Painter x Poet
Patisserie is the second son of Painter and Poet, and the younger brother of Visionary. Much like Visionary, Painter and Poet anticipated him to grow into a great lover of the arts and literature (although secretly hoped he wouldn’t be quite as extreme as young Smurfling Visionary was already proving to be) The crowning moment of confusion came on the night of his first word. Every Smurf expected something like “acrylic” or “ sonnet” so no one was more surprised than his parents when Patisserie suddenly exclaimed “croissant!” which for the artistic couple, made no sense. As the years progressed, it became more apparent what this random word actually implied – Patisserie was a lover of French and Belgium bakes, and under the apprenticeship of Greedy, soon learnt how to bake quite the variety. He’s alright with regular bakes, but his specialty lies in patisseries such as croissants and macaroons. He is not without artistic talent like the rest of his family – he will often design little cards with a caricature of the food + a little poem about it to display his other talents. His best friend is Brazen, who he loves as a bro despite Brazen’s tendency to be a meathead. Being a social Smurf, Patisserie is also pretty good at calling crushes (he was the first one to notice the tension between Slacker and Diligent after working with Slacker in Greedy’s kitchen, and also knows about his bestie’s crush on Twitchy)
Elusory – Reporter x Weather
To the average Smurf, Elusory seems like a quiet, reserved type, maybe a bit of a background character. Her daily routine appears to be interviewing smurfs around the village (assumedly to take back to her father for news articles) What is kept secret is her status as a village agent. Even as a Smurfling, Elusory had a habit of accidently sneaking around, being unnoticed and avoiding detection. All of which made her the perfect candidate for a spy – of sorts. Somebody Smurf had since thrown away his Nobody identity and used his talents for being unnoticed to complete missions in the forest, usually by infiltrating Gargamel’s to discover plans or making peace with other species. Papa Smurf is the only other one in the village who knows about this, as an identity breach could mean trouble. Elusory is taken under the wing of Agent Somebody and trained to also complete stealth missions to report back for the village safety. She develops a mentor/student bond with Somebody and he’s the only other Smurf aside from her parents she’ll open up to. In some ways, she’ll even open up to him more as even her dad’s don’t know about her actual role. She also sees Somebody as the uncle she never had, and she’s alright with that because she admires and respects his technique and want to keep the village safe.
