Description This is one of the models mentioned in my journal; Queen Chrysalis. I had been commissioned to turn her 2D design into a fully realised 3D printed model, and here's the final product.

I'm assuming you painted this to get that detail. So may I ask what kind of paint did you use, and what was the original color of the model?

No paint involved at all. This was printed directly from the computer, in colour. Take a look at ZCorp 3D Colour printers for more information of what they are capable of, but having used one personally, I can vouch that it comes straight out of the printer fully coloured.

Which is useful as I can't really paint all too well. Sorry that doesn't really answer your question though. If you have any questions about the method I did use, please, do ask.

Ahh. My printer only prints in two colors, so I couldn't do that. I'll probably just paint it. Thank you though

how did you turn the 3d model into a sculpture? did you hand sculpt it using the 3d model for reference, or did you use some kind of machine?
