Description Ode to the Ensnared

Let me hide my face,
Let me hide my shame,
Let me hide my true self,
Let me hide my name.

Let me be the speaker of lies,
The teller of tales.
Let me live in a locked enclosure,
So you can maintain your strong composure.

Let me live this way,
Ungodly and tortuous.
Let me live as a prisoner of words,
So you can still feel you’re victorious.
But when I have matured into a woman,
Let me live as I have wished for years,
Grown to self-reliance and independence,
Release me of guilt and tears.

I will live as a speaker of truths,
A teller of devotion.
I will live in an open and free pasture,
Where I, not you, will be my own master.

I like the repetition at the beginning. Think about switching shame and name though. "The teller of tales." A weak line, I bet you could come up with something better to put there. Overall, an enjoyable read.
