Oh hai Diego!Replica skull of a Smilodon californicus.
Always wanted to have this. This year, i thought "fuck it" and fulfilled myself a little dream with that thing. Beautiful colouring and display, wonderful match to my Tiger skull replica.

Sehr gigantisch und eindrucksvoll! Ist der größer als der Tigerschädel (teilweise sollen ja einige Säbelzahnkatzen nicht viel größer gewesen sein als Löwen und Tiger)?

Die Schädel sind in etwa genauso groß - ich hatte sogar das Gefühl, dass der Säbelzahn ein Hauch kleiner, kompakter ist (troz der Zähne). Aber da muss ich nochmal vergleichende Fotos machen.

Die Zähne sind gewaltig. Der ganze Schädel ist sowieso gewaltig. Ich frag mich immer, wie die damit eigentlich erfolgreich gejagt haben wollen.
