Not necessarily pollution - most industrial towers just give off steam. [/nitpicky] At any rate. I like the composition of this photo, but I wish it was less grainy - it feels as if this picture should be a bit crisper?

I love this photo!!! What kind of industry is this? We have a few here that let off steam very simalar to this. I like the texture in the sky. It really gives the photo a sense of importance.

Its steam. Its right off the St johns river. The factory there uses the water and then turns it into pure steam.
We have a lot of sand mining here. No neat factories though. Just giant holes in the ground.

Actually its pretty plain old sand. Like the stuff you put down under a pool or fill a sand box with. We had them bring us out some when we put up our above ground pool.
I like factories as photography subjects. I tend to be at odds with them in general. Especially with the history they have. In my home town if you go to the industrial distinct, it STINKS. That has always been a strike against it for me.
