It's always fun to try new styles, but sometimes you just gotta develop what works for you and what you enjoy the most! I would love to be good at digital drawing and painting, but the reality is, I like focusing my free time and attention on traditional art so much that I'll probably never really develop skills for digital.

Ugh, that happens to me way more often than I'd like! Tiny colored pencil shavings get stuck in it.

I hear that! I tend not to use pencil in sketchbook for that very reason.

Heh I know that after I draw over pencil with colored pencils I can't erase the graphite anymore, I need to figure out if it also prevents stuff from rubbing off. If it does, I can use more of my paper. xD

Dah, I know exactly what you mean!! I went on a many-year quest to find a pen that drew like a pencil, but wouldn't erase. I finally found it in the copic multi-liners, grey, and very fine-tipped. But, it's still hard to sketch in pencil, then go over it all with colored pencil and not make a huge mess of everything!
