Description
The surface of one of two twin habitable planets orbiting each other. Both started initially on a chaotic elliptical orbit as two barren molten worlds around a young star, eventually, through tidal heating both cooled down and arrived at a tidally locked 60000km circular orbit. After heavy cometary bombardment and acquiring an atmosphere they both now contain life which has adapted to slightly different atmospheric and gravitational conditions. Now take it in, looking from a massive valley on the edge of a forest-covered mountain, with a shoreline located shortly after the mountain range, this is a view found in few places across the galaxy!
I somehow managed to finish this 15 minutes before new year, so it counts as a 2022 painting! This is so far my most detailed and time-consuming digital painting, 3+ months of work solely on rendering it, learnt a lot of new things and many textures I had not done before, however admittedly slowed down due to school and other stuff.
