Description Sorry if your eyes mess up a little bit.

This is a wallpaper (1024x768) based on the colour bars that show up on your television, when no signal is coming through. This usually happens when a station is off the air for some reason.

Again, my apologies for the headaches and eyestrain.

Do they still use this thing, or is it a relic from the analog age?

And it is still used in production of tv as well, again as a reference for signal and colors, also is put on beginning of video tape (yes it still exists lol) before the program.

You're welcome. Things tend to stick into your brain after working with them for a few years lol.

Wow, that's pretty cool! I'm a Film Major at Penn State right now, so it's really cool to run into someone who has worked in television.

They still use the color bars pattern in television, but it is not seen buy the general public much anymore unless there are technical difficulties so that they can tell some signal is going across the airwaves (reference signal). It was also once used when stations would go off the air for the night but nowadays everyone broadcasts something 24/7

Well, once in a while, we'll see this on a channel when something 'goes awry', but I don't think too many people have seen it.
