I was playing sims 3 and wanted to try the new features with ghosts. So after killing my sims I made them woohoo and voila! It's a shame it's a boy though, purple is so much better for a girl!
Since a couple people asked how I did it I'll explain here.
First choose the mother or the father to kill
Make the other sim join Science career (for speed purposes) and soon you should get the opportunity "Oh my ghost"
Bring the urn of the dead to the science facility and there you have your first ghost. Now repeat with the other parent.
Make sure you have the urn in the sim's inventory both times
You can check online for which color you want your ghost, for example this one is starvation, drowning will give blue, fire will give orange etc

Yes, Sims 3 is HORRIBLY addictive... If you start playing, make sure you have the day to play, because starting is easy, stopping is not XD

It takes sooo long for the "Oh my ghost" ;-; I know it works in Sims 3 Pets because I saw a ghost horse barge into my house once. :I

I had two ghost sims. They had twins and one of them was alive.

Okay, so I made a mother and father, made the father join science career and killed the mother but nothing happened. Should I do something now or wait for the opportuniy thing you were talking about?

I don't know but it's the science facility and join science career. Also have the urn in the sims inventory. Then wait for the opportunity to show up.

By opportunity do you mean when a sim has an ! above their heads?

I mean that you play as usual and the opportunity appears in a panel, it will pause your game and ask if you'd like to accept this opportunity. But you play on Wii, I have no idea how the game goes. On windows there's no ! above their heads. You can also ask google

Do You Know Can You Do that for Wii?I just rented it AND I LOVE IT!I'm EVIL I LEFT MY SIM UPSTAIRS WHERE THEIR WAS NO FRIGE...Well I decide I couldn't do that so I put one in there but when he opened it he screamed for a chair. o.O So Then I was like Screw You.So after like 5 hours He died.

I tried locking them in a room with nothing in it, they wont die.
I used the Cosmic Curse on all 4 about 17 times each O_O

How messed up would it be if you used "Divine Intervention" on the child? The kid would have been born a ghost, became alive, and would go through his life with both of his parents dead/ghosts. o_0

PS: There's a mod to turn your sims into ghosts without having to kill them.

There's a trick if you want to have a girl or a boy:
Eat watermellons to have a girl
Eat apples to have a boy.
It's proven that it works, i tested it myself. =]
