Description
So we had a winter storm blow through our area about two days ago, delivering cold temperatures and freezing rain that covered-and froze-nearly everything. A lot of people around us are without power, due to downed power lines and broken tree branches that snapped due to the ice buildup. So I thought I'd take a couple of pictures to show what it looks like around here

While taking this picture, I actually had a rather frightening experience. Literally about ten seconds after I snapped this picture, there was a loud cracking sound and a giant tree limb came crashing down not fifteen feet from where I was standing. It turns out it was from one of the two big pine trees that grew alongside my street, and the branch had given way from the ice buildup. It made me realize two things: I'd better stay away from big trees for a while (until the ice melts), and art is apparently a subject that is more dangerous than I thought!
