Description
Just one, of the many pictures I took while I was away visiting my mother last week. A bright sunburst filtered by the clouds, that creates that ever-amazing "Heaven's Light" effect that I love so much
I touched up the photo a little bit in photoshop, but I like trying to keep my pictures as natural and raw-looking as possible, without too much color and light exaggeration. I hope you enjoy!

"God Rays" always look so cool! Great sense of contrast in this pic, I took some similar as I just got home from a short road trip

I find them most vivid either during early morning, or right after a storm. They look even MORE cool if it's somewhere over the desert…

As much as I dislike clouds, they can look very pretty, especially when backlit. 'Every cloud has a silver lining' they say! Did you get any storms while there?

Oh, I don't mind cloudy days…except for in winter, where it's continually cloudy about 90% of the time for about five months…
But storm clouds? Oh yes! Especially when a storm ends at dusk and the sun shows up about an hour before nightfall…which, to answer your question, yes I did! (This tidbit was a recalled example of such). We got a pretty bad one actually, to where it knocked out the power for about half a day, and fried a transformer to where we had no hot water for ANOTHER full day, and then our fridge broke down on top of that for yet, another day….adventure awaits everywhere I go, apparently!

lol such wondrous excitement! I personally like storms best at night, when they light up the whole sky in a spectacular fashion. I could watch them for hours!
