Description
In this picture, Zuri and Nafari are arguing as usual. Kovu is highly annoyed. Zuri is the darker cub and Nafari is the lighter cub.

I'm still working on Kovu's personality for this story.

Kovu still has some hurt inside him from his mother, Zira, and does grieve for her supposedly death. He Honors his mom by keeping her survival training methods which he wants to past down to his sons. Kovu wants his sons to be trained to protect the Pridelands from any outsiders like hyenas. Also to develop the vicious fighting technique that Zira taught him.

As a father, Kovu loves both is sons equally and hates to choose just one to be King. Because Nafari is the eldest, he was chosen future King. In a way Kovu felt like he owed that to Nuka. He didn’t want to do what his mom did and choose the younger to become king and cause jealousy with the elder.

Relationship with his sons as cubs:
Kovu doesn’t love one cub more than another, but he just doesn’t get Zuri. He seems to go against his Kovu's wishes. He yells and disrespectfully talks back to Kovu. Zuri just seems to have a very bad attitude, which angers his Father. Yes Kovu isn’t fond of Zuri’s oddness for he only befriends insects and prey. Kovu was furious when he found out that Zuri almost got himself and Tamar killed trying to save a bunny from hyenas. But part of his resentment is Nafari’s fault. He often taunts Zuri by saying “Daddy likes me better than you” “Dad chose me to be king because I’m not a wimp like you.” Also it seems like Kovu always takes Nafari side. Zuri avoids the lessons with his father because Nafari is there. Kovu has no clue what’s going in Zuri’s mind.
The relationship is a miscommunication.
At one point Kovu feels like he only has one son because Nafari seems to be the only one that respects him and wants to spend time with him. All Zuri want was his Father’s approval as being worthy.

Kovu’s relationship with Nafari as a cub is pretty good. In a way Nafari is very much like his aunt Vitani. Always shows the highest respect for his father and mother too. He defends his father when Zuri is rude to him. Nafari really admires his father for being a former outsider who can be a vicious fighter. Kovu enjoys teaching Nafari and telling him stories about the outlands.
But Sadly Kovu wishes Zuri would be just like Nafari. It hurts him that Zuri is not respectful of him.

I'm still trying to develop these characters more. I just have the basic background of them.
I think I made Nafari look smaller. He's suppose to be the same size as Zuri but slightly taller.
