Personality:

Maris is like the sea in every way. She is flits this way and that but is also the most loving mare you will ever meet, until you feel the passion in her wrath. She is like the sea given form, but the way she carries herself makes her look like a delicate glass ballerina, so light she might actually be able to dance across the waters surface. This little mare is so sweet and caring, she will look after anything she can and often treats small or vulnerable beings like how a 5 year-old might treat their newborn sibling, with wonder and adoration. She puts her passions into everything, including training competing and everything in between, but this also applies for those who get in the wrong side of her passion, you will feel her wrath in all it’s tricksy might. She’s rather particular with her stable furnishings, the most essential being that she must have a salt block in her stable, she acts like a Capall Uisce when she isn’t tame under the effects of sea salt…Himalayan can sometimes pass, but only if your tight and even then she’ll make your life just that little more miserable until you can find her the right block. She doesn’t do it on purpose, she just does it. But with her being a creature of comfort, she is always better on the coast, in the sea, the feel of waves brushing against her legs makes her the most calm and level-headed mare you would’ve ever met, but just as well as she behaves by the sea, the moment you try to drag her away from her calling, she will become the wild thing again, pulling you towards the water and screaming at with a yearning you didn’t think a horse could have for something like saltwater. Pulling her out of the water if usually though a lot of force and the inevitable promise of salt flakes that you should always have tucked away in a packet or something in your pocket when you travel out here. But throughout all her quirks and habits, this little lady has found her home away from the sea, Bluie. The two are inseparable and you will often find them trying to muzzle each other from over the fences between their paddocks, they seem completely smitten with each other. Maris is also a dreamer, bedding down and covering herself in a blanket of the shavings, this little mare can often be heard with her sleepy half-whinnies and slow innate leg movements. If it rains or storms, she will either dream much more lively than normal or she will be pacing her stall, waiting and wanting to be released into the waters that fall from the skies. She is practically bombproof, so we are all sure she isn’t scared, but just wild with the need for the sea.
