I live in a country of tall blocks instead of little pretty huts. It fascinates me how the green roof tiles flow over the broken hole like fluid.

is that a wallpaper of bricks... outside the house??

because it isn't really graffiti until there's a giant penis on the wall...

House has seen better days

Great photo... The house seems like made with plastic... Very nice use of the HDRI... I'm quite new using HDRI Shaolin Technique... Don't you know why Photoshop CS2 Tell me that is imposible to make an HDR image? It tolds me something about it need an action... May be HDRI process requires an action that isn't installed with Photoshop? So I use the manual HDRI Shaolin Technique, with layer masks...

I faved this before commenting. The HDR effect really brings out different dimensions to the image. There's an "unrealistic" effect on this, makes you do double-takes and examine details closely.

General impact comes from the all the sharpness of lines coming at you. There's also a sense of "distortion" I'm getting, but perhaps that's only me.

Ok... the sky is what grabs me, really! It's gorgeous, as is the roof. Wow! Guess I'll have to go read up on this HDR stuff.

Wow, those colors are really awsome. Great job with this photo, I love it! I think my favorite part about the photo is the green roof, when I first saw the photo I was kind of confused because It looked like grass at first glance, pretty cool photo.

Wow this is crazy! It looks like the building is melting! I really like the colors too.

Please forgive me of my ignorance but what exactly is HDR?

Hmm.......I'm a little on the fence when it comes to HDR. I have seen some good stuff done with it, but some I think are a little over done and don't look real for me. But hey, thank God we're all different and like different things.

Sorry Mr Skinner, can't quite get my head around this one, but hey, I love the graffiti you managed to pick up.

What happened here? It looks all warped, like the ceilings / walls got too soggy & caved in. Huh. The blend of colors is extraordinarily vivid, though. Great job.

Very well done! As with astrophotography, the more you stack the better it gets. I did one the other day with 6 as well. Turned out rather cool as well. Had it only been on a nice subject and not some test I was playing with it would have been even better.

Keep it up bud. Your shots are awesome.

I like this shot, the colours the textures but I'm going to have to ask, and once you tell me, I'll probably feel foolish. What is HDR?

Wodewose [2006-05-26 16:01:53 +0000 UTC]

High definition, maybe, but it still doesn't look real. Why would anyone put a faux brick facing on a wooden wall? Bizarre. And that's a most attractive graffito you've caught there too...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

coshipi In reply to Wodewose [2006-06-03 19:38:58 +0000 UTC]

It's High Dynamic Range, not High Definition and indeed, it usually doesn't look real because human eyes don't see details in highlights and shadows simultaneously any more than cameras do.

Both Toadsmoothy and the much missed Fulcanelli have showed us faux brick facings on wooden walls before - I think it must be a US/ Canadian thing.

I knew that - don't know where my brain went as I typed that comment...
And yes, Fulcanelli is indeed much missed

Wow! Is that place for real?! The HDR really gives it a fairy-tale look, and the roof looks like it's melting anyway! Awesome colours - love the way the roof looks like it'll soon be grass...
