i thought i'll post something that isn't cave
something that maybe will be turned into the head of 3 part wall calendar..
inspirated by.. hehe.. guess
tho i'm realy not sure if i did the ends of legs and shadows from them right.. i just can't figure out how they should look..

there's not much "rest" to do 
it's a head of three part calendar.. there's head.. and three sets of months under it.. just papers with numbers of previous, this and next month.. not much art there to do

I love Salvidor Dali's trans-dimensional long legged eliphants! Great representation on them including your blue motif.
I also like those quirky teapot characters in the back too!

i kinda thought that only 3 pairs of elephants could be borring.. especialy if people are going to look at it for whole year.. so i thought to add those teapots..
i just hope that client will accept it and i won't have to redraw

a client is this local company.. one of the things that make them different from the rest is that they have the biggest truck that pulls other trucks and tractors in Latvia (sorry i have no idea what the word for such trucks is

Un man līdz šim nemaz nelikās, ka tējkanna varētu līdzināties zilonim.
Zīmējums jauks un visnotaļ interesants.
Es neesmu pārliecināta, vai man ir taisnība, bet tomēr uzrakstīšu, kas, manuprāt, labāk izskatītos citādāk. Un ar to es domāju fonu, debesis un tos kalnus, ja precīzāk.
Tā līnija, kur beidzas smiltis un sākas kalni ir pārāk taisna. Pašiem kalniem tas sarkanīgais tonis īsti nesaskan ar zīmējuma kopējām krāsām un noskaņu, kaut kas brūnāks un ne tik spilgts tonis varētu būt labāk. Debesīm pamale varētu būt mazliet gaišāka un augšējā daļa (tuvāk lapas malai) drusku tumšāka, jo smiltīm tā krāsu pāreja, ka tās kļūst gaišākas tuvāk horizontam ir stiprāk izteikta. Un mākoņi arī kaut kā īsti labi neizskatās.
Un tad vēl kalnu forma man neliekas īsti veiksmīga. Pie tam ar kalniem, tur tās līnijas, kur kalni nodalās no debess aiz tiem, ir ļoti asas. Man līdzīgs rezultāts sanāca pirms gada, kad vienā zīmējumā izmantoju gan otu ar pilnīgi skaidri izteiktām malām, perfekta riņķa formā, gan arī otas, kam malas bija izplūdušas, diezgan neskaidras, nu un rezultātā tas rada nesaskaņu zīmējumā. Un šeit tas izpaužas kā, ka tiem kalniem ir ārkārtīgi asas tās līnijas, kur tie saplūst ar debesīm, kā vektoru zīmējumos, bet zilonīši izskatās, kā ar fotošopa otām zīmēti, ar izplūdušākām kontūru līnijām, pie tam to kājiņas vēl tik maigi smiltīs iegrimst. Vismaz man tas lec acīs, taapēc varētu vai nu zilonīšu kontūras padarīt asākas kā vektoru zīmējumos, vai tieši otrādi, kalnu kontūru līnijas izplūdušākas, lai nav tik izteikts kontrasts.
Un kopumā tie zilonīši izskatās ļoti tumši uz gaišā fona. Lai gan gaišais fons rada brīnišķīgu priekpilnu noskaņu, varbūt to varētu uztaisīt mazliet tumšāku. Pie horizonta varētu atstāt to pašu krāsu toni, bet tuvāk lapas malām mazliet tumšāku.
Es ceru, ka nerodas iespaids, ka es par daudz kritizētu, un, ka man nav ne jausmas ko tieši, jo tā nav taisnība. Kopumā zīmējums ir ļoti jauks un man patīk, tikai man liekas, ka te varētu fonu uzzīmēt labāk.

par to taisno horizonta liiniju un kalnu asumu.. vispaar jau Dali tie horizonti ir dikti taisni.. un vispaar liinijas starp objektiem diezhan izteiktas..

Well this really is nothing like your usual work.
It looks like salvador dali's painting "The Elephants".
I like it though.
But the texture of the Elephants skin is the same kind you used on your "people" on your other drawings.
And what is with the tea cups?

hehe.. this one i did as one of the versions for calendar top.. can't draw caves all the time
as for "texture" it's actualy not a texture.. it's the brushes i use.. insted of gradient, they have little dots along with gradient.. this way when printed on crapy printers the colors don't look like bunch of weird stripes, but are cracked into little dots
as for tea cups.. i think it's better when there's something more to look at then just the "main characters".. while "main" ones catch the eye, secondary ones - hold it.. and person spends more time looking at work.. wich is quite important in this fast time we live at

i would be lieing if i would say that watching albums with his works at my childhood didn't had any impact on me
