Description
First off i want to say sorry for the crappy pic; it is fall in the rainiest city in the world...... so those dent/scratch looking things are rain drops
This piece was based off the same design as my filigree cloakpin:

Circle: Made from high temperage aircraft aluminum.

Size: Outer diameter 3"

Process:
1-Designed in photoshop and printed out on paper

2-Glued paper too metal with glue-stick

3-Drilled holes with #70 drillbit

4-Hand sawed center area, then celtic bands with a self tensioning jewelers saw and 3 ought blades

5-Hand filed the separate levels then beveled the knotwork areas

6-Cut rivets to length, polished ends

7-Riveted levels together

6-sanding and bead blasted in a sandblaster with glass media

Center Pin: Square bar aluminum stock

Process:
1-cut proper length of stock

2-inserted into vice and turned by hand with a cresent wrench to achieve spiral

3-hand filed grip area and piercing point.

4-poished

Honestly i am not very happy with how this has turned out, i wanted to go more intricate with the celtic knotwork but it was too small of area to work with and i suck at drawing knotwork.
