Description
So, I had a serious addiction of Back to the Future after realising it was Back to the Future day. I wish I had gotten it done by October 21st, 2015. Although, if I had a time machine...Marty McFly was surprisingly difficult to draw compared to Doc.
Approximately 12 hours of time. Done with Canson black paper and Faber Castell pastels.

Hi! I'm not a professional critic, but I'll give this my thoughts and honest opinions to the best of my ability.
Here we go!
-Vision-: Well it's apparent that you have an extraordinary gift. Great use of basic art composition. The colors are beautiful and capture their physique on a whole new level. Their expressions are fantastic! I can't get enough! wonderful job.

-Originality-: Celebrity depictions/head shots aren't all that original. I say that to say this; I'm trying to make this a fair review. I'm looking at this with true admiration. This is beautiful, but this art genre/concept isn't very original. (3 stars)
-Technique-: My stars, where do I begin? To make the doc look old, you used more lines and shades to create wrinkles, though they don't look like regular, and boring wrinkles. THAT'S GENIUS! On the other hand, the boy's face is clean, yet you still used different color shades to create texture instead of just lines of black. The hair and clothes are well done. The contrast between their chins and their necks are drawn to perfection. Way to go! (5 stars)
-Impact-: Their faces are lit, making this very impactful. The shades of orange, tan, yellow, light/sky blue, and white make this piece bright, even though they are in a night time setting. You did a marvelous job! (5 stars)
overall: You did a spectacular job. You are my favorite artist on deviant art.
I Have Never Given Anyone this many 5 star ratings. I had a hard time finding things wrong with this piece.

Thank you so much! The Doc was relatively easy because I could be a bit slapdash about the lines I used to create him whereas Marty was significantly harder because of his nondescript smooth skin.

They are a good medium. I've taken a while to get used to them because I'm new to them and didn't quite have the right colours or paper but once you figure those things out they are cool

i think Marty has been done very well and , to me, better than doc. Maybe, you mean that Doc is so recognizable that you haven't got to struggle to create the likeness, but have been able to do both them! Marty is perfectly alike, don't worry!!!!

Yeah I actually agree with you. With Doc I was pretty happy when at the very least I could tell it was the Doc, whereas with Marty I kept consulting other people to see if they could see it was him. I only finished when I practically deemed him perfect.
