I think "vas Rannoch" makes sense. While it is true that the literal translation (crewman of) doesn't quite fit, I suspect that the term "vas" became a cultural innovation that transcends its literal meaning. So, "vas" simply became the indicator for one's permanent residence. One can see this in their term "Keelah se'lai" as well. The term goes beyond the literal meaning (by the Homeworld I hope to see someday) and takes on a deeper societal aspect. The way it is used resembles a type of religious benediction (like "Amen" in Christianity or "الله أكبر" in Islam).

Well, "Amen" means "Let it be", which can be applied to most scenarios, hence its possible wide usage, but I see your point and agree with it.

I'm eventually going to do another unmasked Tali picture. This is over a year old, I've improved a lot, and I'm not really happy with this one anymore (mostly because of the shading and some anatomy issues with the face).

Definitely digging the alien spots though so I'll incorporate that in my next unmasked Tali. Tashio's version of Tali is great.

Just a suggestion, no spots on her face.

At least, not like in the body, but faint, freckle-like spots like in this picture would look great.

Mostly people are just sad that Bioware did the reveal using a photoshoped image when they could have done something far more awesome like have the reveal on Rannoch when she takes off her mask or have an optional outfit with a transparent visor.

I wouldn't say nightmare. I like the design and look they came up with. It just seems like a lazy way to do it. Mass Effect 3 is still one of my favorite games ever. I wouldn't have done fanarts if it wasn't.

I was okay with the picture they made of Tali. Except for the hands. They could have put in the effort to make them anatomically correct to what Quarian hands look like, but NOOOO.....

But it was photoshop so I think the picture was a gimme for the unimaginative, I'm not unimaginative. Even if you don't see her face or anything when you romance her, it's so cute how she thinks of shepard.

Yeah I already had a sort of image of what I thought she looked like. The photoshop wasn't that far off from what I was thinking (though I thought she would have shorter hair, and maybe some facial patterns like the salarians have).

I'm just glad she didn't end up with face tentacles or something.

Javik did say the Quarians were beautiful so they can't have face tentacles and did you ever notice that Tali has a more normal sized head then other quarians?
