So yep, its a drawing but mostly Photoshop work from one of my favorite games of all time AeroFighters/Sonic Wings. I recently beat the whole Aero Fighters Assault game (again) the most ambitious and cutting edge in the series so I got inspired by this, love all the planes and LAR too however I used his Aero Fighters 2 form cause I think that's the best form of him with the green laser. All the planes are taken directly from the game, the background I took it from Google, but everythings else was done by me incluiding LAR. He looks a bit more angry this time after all he hasn't managed to swat any of the fighters yet after all this time, they always beat him.

I recall this game series... Been playing like crazy these days on the SNES/Neo-Geo versions.
P.S Mao and her F-15 jet is awesome in-game. Piercing lasers and time freeze is just fun to use. In Sonic Wings Special, she gets homing and piercing lasers!

yeah it was a great series! Its so sad that we never saw another entry. Not even a port to smartphones...

In terms of aircraft that I tend to use. I'm more of a F-18 / F-117 player. The pilot knocks me out laughing especially in the second and third games...

yeah Keaton is a great character. My favorite is the dolphin Spanky and the YF-23. Mao Mao is perhaps the most popular

He's pretty okay in the first game; those trailing Napalm is handy for lines of enemies. Second game; that laser of doom! Third game, he goes out of the plane and smashes everything. O_O
Spanky's YF-23 is cool; those floating mines are handy for any incoming bullets. Sonic Wings Special though, turns his sub-weapon into Ripple pulses giving wide coverage, and he gets a piercing charged attack.

Yes great stuff! Did you know there are two versions of Sonic Wings Special? The arcade version is nice. But the PSX/Saturn versions is the best I think. It has tons of planes and levels. Some are different than the arcade version and have different powers. Might wanna check it out if you havent.

My favorite to use there are hilariously, Chaika and Pooshika because their weapons are the funniest to watch. What could be better than to watch enemies get wrecked by dancing Russian dolls that spout out Russian words and their charged shot involves smaller exploding Russian dolls.
I have the Arcade variant thanks to emulators; now I'm going to look for the PSX/Saturn version so I can test out everyone's secret planes. I heard Angela's is fun to watch, her secret plane there, the Dowoitine D520's bomb involves flashy spotlights making stuff explode.

Oh you mean Steve the Rocker?! Yeah that used to be his name...LoL But they changed it to Angela I forgot about that. Actually the plane he uses the Rafael is my favorite in that game. Because of the bomb that shoots lightning across the screen. Its very cool. Happy gaming fellow fan!

I've played his Rafale in Aero Fighters 2, that Gravity Bomb is great for shooting bosses right in front of their faces.
Not only it zaps everything in the screen, it absorbs enemy bullets and leaves the boss wide-open for a heck of a point-blank firing. In other words, hello stage boss; hope you like my bullets and missiles up close!

How did you get the planes from the game? I can't get Spanky's to show up on mine when I play it on an emulator.

Hehe Photoshop of course!, there is a screenshot tool in PJ64. Spanky is very hard to get in that game, you have to beat all levels even the secret levels and defeat Pandora, only Mao Mao can do the job for me so far.

Okay, I've never unlocked Spanky legitimately, only with cheats.Β When I do it with cheats, his plane is invisible!Β (Still playable though.)Β I'm terrible at the game!

Mao Mao (F15) is my favorite character in the game series because she is really cute and her jet is awesome

My favorite is Spanky cause I love dolphins but in the latest entry Mao Mao has the Best plane and her voice is so sweet, she's my favorite in that game so I had to put her plane in front.
