Here's the first of 10 pages, folks. This is for my characters I developed last year. The allmighty is co-creating and writing it with me.Take that, dirtbag! (you know who you are, mufasa) hahahaha

I'm so glad you've put the pencils up for this page, I looked at the coloured version first, and really wanted to see where the line art ended and the digital work began. Excellent work as always, bud!

As for your question, I'm not the best person to ask about critique. I either love someone's work or I don't. I can't see anything that you need to sort out on this, so that may mean I'm biased or it could mean it's perfect!

thanx! the only rule i keep in mind is that the page has to flow even with dialogue. it needs to be simple enough for someone who doesn't read comics to be able to pick it up and not guess what's going on. the 'x' is to mark where my black areas are goingto be without having to actually shade it in with pencil.

I like the hand breaking the panel in 1, and the foot in the foreground in 2...that panel has cool fore/background interaction. I notice there are gutters between 2/3 and 5/6 - are you purposefully leaving gutters out of the rest of it? Will we get an introduction shot of the boy and a solid establishing shot of the scene in the next page? I'm excited to see more!

hey thanx! there will be gutters. i applied them in photoshop. haha the next page will have a better introduction for the boy and... and.... i'm trying to set it up to have not only a punch to it, but also a roundhouse chuck norris kinda kick-in-the-face thang.. hahaha

yeah, i wondered about photoshop gutters. it made me laugh cause you actually drew out the vertical ones but left the horizontals as just lines...maybe you have some kind of weird aversion to drawing horizontal gutters! haha...and good luck with ol' chuck. I just hope it can compete with [link] . That audio introduction from the man himself is going to be tough to beat.

This is dope as hell, i (for the longest time) have been wondering when you were going to be releasing your own thing, and to see that it happening so soon, THATS AMAZING! I am overwhelmed with joy to see the Both of you doing your thing, i cant wait to see some of the cover designs and everything, are you going to have any guest designs or anything like that? Overall page looks DOPE! That Panel 1 is serious, so much movement and busyness i love it. Cant wait to see this, im also wondering if you will have this available at Wizard World CHicago, in case i dont make it to SDCC, if you dont that would suck in a very bad way. Dood i sent you a note about a month ago i think (probably one of the tons you get i imagine) but im going to be at the Wondercon, i am dong some pages to submit to some companies. My wife never got to honeymoon, cause at the time she was finishing Massage therapy school, and i am still in school, so we decided to make a mini honeymoon out of the trip, as well as business. So San Fran here i come, and you know im grabbing a copy of those sketchbooks so i'll see you there.

I love your smooth style Sean. I saw your post in CA. That makes three sites that i regularly see you in. Good job! I usually pay the most attention to your panel work cuz that is where artists mess up the most. I realll like the pacing from panel 5, and 6, to 7. In panel five she is looking to the right directing the readers eye to the appropriate panel and then in six his head is tilted down slightly directing the eyes again to the last panel. I've gotta say that the perspective in 2 and 3 is a little wonky but i've seen many of your comics and i can never tell in one page if it's part of the story or not. Keep up the good work!

thanx! i'll be coloring it too. alina will have another story shes's writing and drawind too. both of our stories will be out in july along with michael woods' story. they'll be in our anthology that we'll be selling at the san diego con. we'll keep ya informed.
