Description A simple top made from two giant granny squares.  The granny squares were crocheted with Red Heart yarn in the Icelandic colorway with an H crochet hook.  Each square is 30 rows (30 shells on each side) for a size 2XL.  When I did the last row of the second square, I attached it the the first square in the appropriate places by slip-stitching the stitch between shells into the open space of the opposite square.  Side slits are 10 shells, side seams are 10 shells, armholes are 10 shells, shoulder seams are 10 shells, neck opening is 10 shells.  For the front neck, I did the 10 shell shoulder seam, then ch 3, sc in each shell and space across for 10 shells, ch 3, then continued the 10 shell shoulder seam on the other side.  It dropped the front neckline down a little bit, but not much.  I don't know if it really made that much of a difference.  I did one row of dc around the armholes and I did not need to line the top.
