This follows the same procedure as another one of my sparkly rose shirts:

Except this time I remembered to take a before picture to show just how much the gussets help my round self.


JoAnn gave me this sweater after I admired it. She said she was never going to wear it and it was too nice to just give away. I agreed. I took dibs on it for when she was done. Then the next day she gave it to me. Well, clearly it didn't fit, and needed some changing so that it could. The knit fabric of this sweater was a bit more difficult to take apart than the cotton for the shirt, but all the principles stayed the same.

The gusset fabric is so pretty and complements the original fabric well.Β  It looks see-through.Β  Do you have to wear a camisole or something like that underneath?

The gussets have a layer of mint on the inside to prevent the see-through-ness. The front and back though, I do have to wear something light like a camisole underneath. Such is the nature of knit fabric like this!
