Jasmine, that's what he had been looking for. After a relatively private talk with one of his more senior and trusted herbalists Hannas had decided he needed some of the sweet scented plant. His sleep had been virtually non-existent for the past few weeks and he was running mostly on air and his damn stubbornness. But he was tired and his willingness to patrol or get so stuck into helping with training was dropping. Others looked at him with confusion or concern in their gazes. It wasn't like him. He wished he knew why he couldn't sleep but it was a mystery to him. It had started with a few nightmares, mostly about the war, but then he found he just couldn't switch off. He tried going for walks, exhausting himself during the day, everything. None of it worked. Hence why he finally give in a tried to seek something that would help. The herbalist had suggested a few other things that he could try, mostly to chew up, but the idea of that didn't sit right with him. He should be able to be alert and woken at any time, always ready to jump into danger. So the next best thing was a calming scent to reduce his anxiety and help him relax. That didn't sound so bad.

In a break during the day was when he went plant hunting. He'd been told what the small flowers looked like, but he had little knowledge of plants or where to find them. Magic had always been his main interest. But still he went and looked in the most sensible of places. Whenever he saw some flowers growing he checked that area, but they seemed to be evading him. It was only when he neared one of the streams that lead into the two lakes that he spotted the little white dots. The place seemed calm, quiet. Nearing water wasn't always the best idea when predators could be around. Plus any of the Allied herd could be patrolling the waterside. However everything was calm. Birds were singing, a warm breeze was blowing and a few rabbits were hopping around in the long grass. Tranquil.

The scarred stag made his way over to the flowers and picked a large bunch just to keep him going for a while. He had told himself to be quick about finding the flowers so he could get back to the herd but the sound of the cool water trickling along was temping. It was nearing summer and they days were getting hotter. A cool drink was always appreciated. So down to the banking he went. He placed his flowers carefully by his side and took a drink. As he did so he felt the breeze round him pick up and ruffle at the grass and his fur. He took his time there even after he had drank his fill, watching the water.

He took his flowers back into his mouth as he was about to leave, but again before he could something caught his attention. A flash of light in the water, the sun reflecting off something small and quick. Fish. Smiling to himself, Hannas guided the breeze, whipping it up and round in circle, creating a small vacuum to pull up the water. And with it, one of the little fish. The poor thing looked so lost, suddenly being able to see it's home beneath it, the world surrounding it, and a horrifyingly large creature stood before it. The fish, still swimming in it's little water bubble, looked at Hannas for a second, as if regarding him, and the stag smiled to it. As if it could understand. Then he let his breeze subside, allowing the water and the fish to drop back into the stream with a small splash. With that the fish was gone and Hannas turned and started walking back the way he had come.
