"better a wolf than a rabid cur."Holy fuck. Hooooly fuck this thing has been in-progress since december and I feel dead inside. There's things I'm not happy with, there's things I know already that I need to work on (wolves. wolves for sure.)
But i did it.
THIS. IS MY SON. This is my dnd character (my FIRST EVER dnd character) Renier Laronne, a Ranger, and his wolf Manon!
He's an asshole with a secret good heart and no social skills to speak of and I adore him and LOOK AT THIS BEAUTIFUL JERK. AND HIS BEAUTIFUL SNOBBY WOLF DAUGHTER.
His spear is amazing. He wields 2, but the one more shown is Houndstooth, which deals more damage than the other, returns to his hand after being thrown, and deals damage that can't be magically healed. I'm actually really content with how it turned out.
I'm so fucking emotional. I love Renier a lot and this has been in the works for forever. And this is the first serious, huge, comprehensive and 'real' piece that I've done that isn't for osac in like. A year.
Holy... Shit.
I love this. I'm proud of myself. I need to sleep for 3 days.

Oh my GOSH Viri this looks absolutely wonderful! This is such a massive undertaking with so much detail and texture, and you did a wonderful job! I love the soft tones of his skin, his tattoos, the mottled greens and browns of his cloak, that DETAILED CHAINMAIL, and his awesome tattoos. I love Hound's Tooth and aah that quote that's what he said when someone (was it the wengido master guy?) told him he was a wolfso scathingly.
This is beautiful and your art's really come a long way. Fantastic job. I can't wait to play with you and Reinier again this weekend!!!
