As their paths crossed once again the Sun greeted his wife the Moon, strong arms wrapping her fragile body in his warm embrace, pressing her close to his chest. Then he kissed away her tears, kissed her cheeks, her ears, her nose and her lips. She in turn welcomed his kisses and gave him her whole heart in return. No words passed between them, there was scarcely any time.---
My oh so creative titles make me laugh. I'm just digging through my folders and sharing again.
This is an old sketch inspired by two things: my lovely friend ~hypermegatailsfan and myths surrounding the solar eclipse. There's this one story about the Sun and Moon guardians being lovers but they only get to meet during a solar eclipse which is quite sad I think.
Honestly though this was really just an excuse to draw a ridiculously elaborate and most likely heavy headdress for Minnie and put Mickey in a big hat. I like hats. A LOT.

Echoing everyone else: any excuse for you to draw these two is a good excuse. Especially when you've got a great idea to back it up! I love how you and ~hypermegatailsfan are always working so close together, your talents compliment each other so well. This sun and moon concept is especially intriguing, and man, the colors really make this sketch. It easily brings to mind sunsets and twilight and eclipses, the times when they're allowed to be closer. I also approve of anything involving Mickey kissing Minnie, since there seems to be a trend in modern Disney canon where Minnie's gotta be doing all the cheek kissing. You do such a great job at balancing their relationship.

the sun/moon theme is carried out in such a great way, their outfits are very fitting to the theme and I just really love everything about it

Hats are awesome, end of story.
But not end of comment! So much to love here. The color differences work so well here, and you are really just the Queen of outfit designs when it comes to these two. The individual outfits really reflect the Sun and moon. Capes, sleeves, the little sun and moon, headdress, everything is so intricately detailed that just looking it over and over is a treat for the eyes. Additionally, the mini drabble is so sweet and tender, it's sad but happy at the same time.
