Ratatouille is my favorite Pixar movie. As such, it also has my favorite Pixar villain!I liked Ego as a villain, because he actually had some depth to him. Unlike so many other villains, you get a glimpse of his past, his backstory, his favorite things,... he could be reasoned with, talked to, and had a heart that could be reached.
He wasn't just a run of the mill villain, he was HUMAN and dynamic, and actually changed from a bad guy to a good one.
That and his design is really creepy. I mean, he wears a SCARF. Any guy in a scarf is SCARY. Lots of little neat details with this character (if you watch closely in the movie, you'll see that his office is actually coffin-shaped.)
So whatever. This is what I do when I'm supposed to be doing actual work. Colored pencils on recycled brown sketch paper.

Ahh, I still have yet to see that movie, me and my gf recently saw "Fantastic Mr. Fox" I didn't think I would enjoy it but I was surprised to find it entertaining! I'll make this my next movie to watch :> As for your drawing, it looks great! I've never seen the movie but I know how pixar makes their characters look, great job!

It happens pretty quick, it's difficult to catch. They really went all out trying to make him one scary guy.

I have been digging your art so much lately. I really like how you handled color on the brown papah. I agree that his character was pretty dramatic and his design was fantabulous.
My only little bit of critique is that on his nose there are two light blue lines that sort of jump out at you, but it's not enough to really detract from the whole thing. Good work at any rate!
