Yes, give it a try just for experimenting. About screen calibrations, you are right. I'm now designing and rendering on a laptop which has a fast i7 processor. It saves a lot of time. Then I edit on another laptop with an AMD processor and a really sharp screen, which is superior to Intel as far as graphics are concerned. The way I see the images is very different and always wonder how other people see my works on their screens.
