This picture was awarded with first prize at Photographic experience 2004 in SLovenia(in june). (topic was about churhes...something like that)i got so many prizes for it. they paid me a 7 day long workshop which i talked about in my journal some time ago, they gave me about 85 β¬, they will organise an exhebition for me, i will be published in some international catalogues...
well i am just trying to say that if you havent started with sending works to competitions and contests, do ti now!

the point and the story... the reason it was awarded is because of rhythm of church tower and chimneys... that is what jury said about it.

Really well composed picture... nice colors.... but I have 2 doubts... is that snow on the church's roof????... Where can I find a digital photography contest ??? I haven't heard of those kind of contests here en MΓ©xico.... -VioLeS

The sky looks so soft, especially when compared to the stone church tower. It took me a while to realise that there is snow on the roofs, first i thought they where just white. The composition is very interesting, to only include the roofs (apart from that small part of wall) gives the photo a sort of abstract feeling when you first look at it.

The love that is clocktowers.. Lovely shot, as always a brilliant sky contrasting magnificently against the rest of the motif. The powdery white feel to the roofs is delicate and beautiful, and for the longest time I've been trying to see whether it's snow or the actual hue of the material, but the minute signs elude me. Nonetheless, yet another wonderful shot.

i think the deep blue sky balances out the snow on the roof making the tower stand out very well!
