yeah they bothered me too.. in fact i wasn't a fan of the shot much at first.. it was in my "no good" pile. i was looking back thru all my europe stuff and the second time around it grew on me a bit more so i put it up and it seems to be getting some good feedback..

There is a whole story to be built around this. Visually, this photo suggests a lot, the semantics of it I'm still trying to figure out; it's very closed and private. You've captured it well.

what i kinda like most is that (seemingly) some girl poured her heart onto this brick wall for some guy.. and now.. days or weeks later, these two pass by and don't really give to shits about her statement. and yeah the barricades are kind of fun. i dont know. i'm nuts!
