Mature content due to substance abuse and a tastefully naked tiefling
Not strictly canon, but has all the elements to be canon. Let me just pray to my DM that we actually get our schedules together to hold a session.
I decided to do something for myself before plunging into my finals' work. That "something" took the form of me trying to color a sketch from my sketch book - something which I've rarely done ever since getting a tablet three years ago. The sketch depicted my DnD character Donohue lounging about with the cat of his family's establishment. The hookah and Lorissa the tiefling barmaid just sort of happened when I thought about props and environment.
I suppose I've been kinda fascinated by the kind of lounging rooms shown in, say, old orientalism paintings for a while now. The kind where everything is covered in fabrics, drapes and pillows as if you've accidentally stepped into a textile store. They've always looked cosy to me, and I've been having issues with depicting fabrics, so I took it upon myself to give it a try.
I'll probably go back and edit it later on, as I find mistakes. It's kinda weird how it looks different from what I've come to think of as "my style" because the underlaying poses were drawn by heart rather than based on an existing reference photo. Plus the color scheme is something I've rarely attempted before and I played very fast-and-loose with the layers, all of it coming together into something that I feel is...a little bit strange in a way that I can't put my finger on.
