I went to see the My Little Pony movie last Saturday, and let me tell you... It was worth the money. I know that the fandom is mostly dead at this point (other than hardcore weirdos like me who've practically grown up watching it) and the movie's been getting some less than positive reviews, but I honestly loved it. It had plenty of Easter eggs for the fans, the songs were honestly a step above what they usually are in the show, and the animation--don't even get me started on how good the animation was. My only complaint is that the 2D animation, although it was fantastic, didn't go well with the 3D backgrounds. Otherwise it was smooth and bouncy, and I adore the rounder style they used on the ponies! Although I've always loved the show's art style, after seeing the movie I honestly can't look at the show anymore without thinking: "Oh, how... bland."

As for Fizzlepop Berrytwist Tempest Shadow, she was the best villain since Discord. As a kid I loved Discord and Nightmare Moon, but was never a huge fan of the other villains, and I stand by that to this day. But Tempest Shadow was so well animated, you could tell how well-articulated she is and how salty with life she is. Not to mention she has the best smolder I've ever seen on an animated villain, period.

I've been meaning to draw more pony art for the longest time. I think the last time I uploaded a digital drawing (or any drawing??) of a pony was... two years ago?? Which is weird because I may or may not definitely still keep up with the show.
