I had the exact same problem you're having.Still have it.He's just so...interesting.and his story makes me tear up.He isn't the sort of person who'd forCE Lyanna to come with him meaning she also loved him and ran away with him to avoid her marriage to Robert and abandon Elia/

I think what I like about the character is that I DON'T know for certain why he did what he did. There are so many questions, so many inconsistencies and with GRRM you just know that it will be anything but simple!
I don't buy into Elia being a sick victim.Β I have a feeling that there's more to the Princess of Dorne than Martin is currently letting on.
And I do feel bad for his children. Reading about Rhaenys hiding under his bed, hoping that he would save her, just broke my heart.

You're probably right. He is a master of surprises. It's hard trying to predict what'll happen next. We're dealing with a man whose only dream is crushing the souls of his readers and ruining their lives.HAHAHA.If only he didn't make you want it and wasn't so good at it.

After seeing your piece on Rhaegar and Lyanna I did search under your name and practically looked at everything you've made. You're really talented, may I say once more.

Thanks. This was my first honest attempt at plate. I've never been a fan of drawing armor. Even when my friends begged me to sketch out their characters for various stories and games. I realize now it's because I was lazy and shied away from the patience that such detail demands. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and was rewarded with fair product. Practice will only make perfect, I hope.
The design came to me from what Martin has described in his writing, and my own imagination. The people of Westros take their House colours and sigils to heart, especially the houses with an animal or mythical creature, and I imagined that Rhaegar would not be so different in this respect. Which is why his house sigil is moulded into the breastplate, where Robert ultimatly caves in his chest and why I tried to give the plate a layered look, similar to scales. I know that Rhaegar took up the sword out of duty rather than a quest for glory, so I didn't think that anything too gaudy would appeal to his quiet nature. Even the rubies encrusted in the breast plate seem a bit much for him. Then again it seems that everyone and their dog has embellished armor, so I suppose it would have been expected of him as the crown prince.
