Description I recently re-read a comic I've been following for a few years (as I do with all the comics I read from time to time to make sure I'm fully following the story as I should since sometimes details can be forgotten during the time between uploads) and was inspired to draw this

The comic i'm reading is called Home and I highly recommend it! It's the sequel to another series by the author Johan titled "Asmundr"

But anyways, these three characters are my own and from an over-200-page story I wrote in 5th grade over the course of a year on loose-leaf notebook paper. Obviously, it's not written on the best format but after re-reading it quite a lot it's actually not as bad I would have thought it to be after all these years and contains some striking lore and some extremely well-structured and consistent characters that each leave their mark and come together at the end to form an extremely pleasing finale.

These three characters in particular are named Charlie, Miax, and Ouetlisae and are the most prominent young protagonists in the story with Keppu soon joining them later- Miax herself is the main character and bears the mark of the ousted, a wolf banished from a pack and marked to warn other packs of them and avoid them, almost surely sentencing them to death without packmakes in which to thrive alongside. Not all wolves in which are banished bear this mark, only those who commit extremely vile acts and show no redeeming qualities and thus this mark is rare and carefully avoided. Which, makes this rag-tag bunch even more infamous. Not to mention their companionship with a dog, as one can imagine within this world dogs are heavily avoided and among wolves used as a name-calling insult, using the word to describe wolves that are weak or timid or rely on others too heavily.
Despite the lore, the story itself is extremely realistic and based in real-life wolf pack dynamics and so I also explore an almost 'humanized' version of that in that human family units can at times be extremely blinded and toxic and so originates the antagonists of this story, a large cult-like pack of wolves led by a young wolf called 'the sun', a wolf well-known for his rare golden-white pelt. Ouetlisae herself is a former member of this pack and thus bears the mental scarring of her experience... so it's hard to blame her for looking so done with it all

So i'll just leave it at that However, I really don't know if i'll ever do anything with this story since it's not really my main focus as i'm working on "The Birdie and the Rabbit" and "Atrocious" as of now. Either way, it's always at the back of my head much like all my other plots.

More art pertaining to this story can actually be found on this instagram post , as I once posted some completely-styled drawings of characters whilst the drawings here are both a combination of my style and the use of references.

i love this!! i especially liked the lore of the pic too, i find it interesting how wolves use the term "dog" as an insult, even though they are closely related :'D

yeah, it's almost like they're just insulting themselves!  Even though I don't know if it'll do much w/ this story it's just really fun thinking of the plot especially to know that the only story I've ever finished writing out was written all the way back in 5th grade  I need to catch up
